To many people, the word "Mirai" might represent images of large cities in the future and a high-tech Lifestyle. Is this the actual "Mirai"?
"Mirai" is probably the dreams, aspirations and love held in the hearts of ordinary people today...
Mirai Shinkin／Oita Mirai Shinkin Bank is a municipal bank that was constructed cooperatively by 76 townspeople after the First World War to assist people exhausted by chronic depression.
It is a banking facility which was constructed to enable ordinary people with no special prestige or capital to live full and contented lives.
We are here to help each of our customers, one by one, raise their own "Mirai".
Even today, Mirai Shinkin Bank carries the "Mirai" of the town on our shoulders.

What's Mirai Shinkin?
With the Beppu Bay region, centering around Oita city and Beppu city as our business base, Oita Mirai Credit Association has 33 branches throughout the prefecture. We are the top financial institution in Oita Prefecture in terms of volume of yokins and financing and out of 47 credit associations in Kushu, we rank third.
Looking towards a new era of financing, we began CI in 1990 and with the new business philosophy, 'Embedded in this town, we open doors to tommorrow', our name was changed in May 1994, from Beppu Shinkin Bank to Oita Mirai Shinkin Bank.
We have gained the trust of our customers through intricate business activities via an independent open information system born of the desire to move towards freedom of money markets. With approximately 60% of the citizens of Beppu city involved in financial transactions with us, we receive strong support from local residents and small and medium sized enterprises. We do not limit our community service to just financial transactions. Through various events and cultural activities such as the 'Bay Side Renaissance' and 'Mirai Gallery', we are actively involved collectively with local residents on various levels. Some of our soshikis include 'Friendship Group' (a group of businesspeople from related transactions), 'Zaurus Club' and 'M's Club'.
